For this project I learned how to make faces and have them talk to tell a joke.
"why did the cookie go to the doctor?"
"I dont know why?"
"cuz he was feeling crumby!"

here is my roto scope music video. for some reason my music doesnt work on here :( This project I learned how take videos and turn them into rotoscopes and put them against a scrolling background.

Reflection

This year was amazing in Digital arts. During the bully poster project I learned about many different types and style of poster designs such as Russian Propaganda. On this project I also learned how to incorporate the different styles into my own design. For the Bully poster I was trying to achieve a funny but serious design. During the Threadless design project I learned how to take requirements from the contest and  turn them into my own design. I learned how to look at the guidelines through a Graphic Designers perspective and become one. One thing I struggled with was putting depth into the layer face project. But through that I learned how to use cool and warm colors to create depth.

Anti-Bully Poster

For school we did anti bully posters for a contest. here are my designs.

Threadless Submission

This is the design I sent in to Threadless and am waiting to get it approved (top). This design was declined so I posted it to be critiqued. here is the new design from the comments (bottom). This one I was just going for a simple design but something i would wear.

Threadless Tshirts

This one took awhile due to certain contests on threadless that closed. but here is all the stuff i worked on but wasnt able to submit. For the back pack designs I was just trying to make something crazy and "poppy" (the smoke) and then something peaceful (waterfall). The cookie one was for a Seasame Street challenge.

Face project

Here is the layer face project. we used Corel Painter 12. we used many brushes to try and give depth to a face.

no sound just video of face project. This project I learned how to use different tools and colors in Corel Painter12 to create depth of a face. This one at the end I didnt want to just make a "real" looking face but a surrealist look to it.

I took a wolf picture and made into a chalk version. I used the charcoal and chalk brush in different colors to shade and then I used the difusre blur brush the create the hairy texture/ blurred smeared look. I did the dame for the tiger

Vector

Vector (my art signature) For this assignment I learned how to take simple shapes and turn them into vectors. I also learned how to make the rough edge. This one I just made my Art signature (ZT)  and turn it into a vector.

Type Tutorial

This tutorial just so happened to be on Valentines day so I made this for my girlfriend. For this assignment I learned how to warp and wrap txt with Photoshop. On this I just tried to make something using the criteria but also putting a valentines day spin on it.
